For each match, we take the sharpest bookmaker odds available and remove the overround, which leaves a cleaner implied probability for both players. Since a tennis match cannot end in a draw, every probability bar is divided between just the two competitors. Whichever player appears in green is the one the market rates as more likely to win the match.

We start with the decimal odds posted by UK-licensed bookmakers and take the overround out. What remains is an implied percentage, a snapshot of where the market stands at that moment. Those numbers move as circumstances change, which is why a figure quoted the evening before play can look different once the match is about to begin.
Surface preference is already baked into bookmaker prices, so the implied probabilities here are surface-adjusted as far as the market itself accounts for it. Grass shifts the maths: Wimbledon predictions are priced differently from Roland Garros clay-court tips because the market values serve-dominant players unevenly from one surface to the next. When a written preview exists, the match analysis goes into surface and recent form.
